Iron Review: Mizuno T-zoids: True and Pro
Mizuno T-zoids: True and Pro
- These clubs might be the "hottest" thing on the market right now. Numerous touring pros play them and you can't argue with Mizuno's track record. (As they say, the #1 iron on tour in terms of number of bags and top ten finishes)). These clubs are sharp, both in design and appearance. The trues are blades, built for better players. The pros are forged and designed to be more forgiving, though many better players prefer the pros as well. Actually, neither set is all that forgiving, but if you are swinging well, this clubs are "da bomb". If you see someone with these clubs in their bag, you will probably see a very good round (or if thier a marginal player) a very bad one.
The Good: Player's clubs as they say on the course. Not going to give you explosive distance, but you can work the ball at will and shoot for tight pins with these clubs. If wayward irons are your achilles, this set might be what you need to drop those scores.
The Bad: You will pay for bad shots, both in your score and your senses. Bad hits can jar and numb your hands. Somewhat pricey, though if you're serious about your golf...well worth the price.
Overall: How can you argue with success? If you are contemplating a set of these clubs, the only thing that should stop you is either demo-ing a set that you happen to hit like a dream, or you are saving for that dream house in Bermuda.
